Think Misc

Sometimes do you realised when you mix with different people, different people influences you in a different way. Well, im not gonna talk about the big picture, small thing, let just say, talking or chatting. Hanging out with friends, or especially someone you like, you tend to "steal" some of their habits. After hanging out long enough, you tend to use the words your friend uses, or you start noticed your friend typing "hehe" in sms which he/she doesn't use the word previously. Or maybe you in the same time, you start using alot of ":)" or "=)" because friends around you over use it. Or let say, you know you will always have this certain facial expression when you smile or frown or whatever, then maybe after a while you start spotting your friend, "eh..why is he/she imitating me ?" hahaha..or maybe in the same time, you start wondering " eh..this sounds like something he/she will do or act "

Or maybe its just me being over-sensitive, but it kinda happens to me time to time.. like for my own..i use "okok" ..but after knowing this one good friend that always type "okie okie"....later on i figured out it sounds kinda more polite and friendly, so i start using "okie okie" on other friends di also..hahahah..not a bad thing though :)

Wooo..Reza did emailed back regarding about the open mic slot in Laundry in Jan. But too bad Christ was still in US that time and Meng will prolly still be in Singapore. Sigh.. And today was kinda surprised to get a msg from Y2K, Saiful, who still remembers us when we went for audition at their studio for gigs i think, 3 months ago, and said will start organising gigs next year and slotting us in. Was really grateful for that man ! i mean..3 months later they still remembered us as they are busy for the past months with outstation gigs. Good for them !

Btw...i think Xiaxue is ...besides her nicely chosen photoshopped pictures in her blog, some of them are quite nice actually, i dun think im interested in seeing her in real person. Short, bubbly, not cute in real after watching her debut TV series in youtube. And her English is a damn turn off, she have damn weird accent, which makes her sounds so fake and retarded. I still read her blog now and then actually..hahahaha...i think she is better off just stick to blogging.. ahhahahaha

Saturday morning waiting

Yes. I know we procastinate and yet haven't do our recordings yet. Quite a bit to take into consideration like which studio and which song to choose, what kind of feel we want, asking around for more feedbacks. Due to Christ going away on a vacation, we may postponed it till most probably next year. Well, no rush i guessed :)

Yesterday was our last jamming session for the year i guessed. Well, we're jamming this song "confident" where i recently written, well i know there's nothing to brag or talk about how the song is coz there's nothing for you guys to be heard so far, but i was abit surprised to see Sjay played the drums and sang the song chorus with me ! well, actually its nothing so surprising rite for your bandmates to sing along..but the thing is, i dun really have a proper lyric line for the chorus yet just maybe a sync word here and there that doesn't make sense. I guessed he was kinda down and emo. But im happy as he is feeling the song, gives me confident. Heheh.

One day i should sit down and go through all the lyrics with my bandmates, should be able to improvised more and sounds better. I always wanted to post up all my lyrics here, but i still keeping it yet till the demo is out, if not no point also rite only words without the song..hahaha.. well, i dun think anyone will be interested in that though but i do. hehe..

break

EFT taking a break till next year. No choice as the bassist going to US for vacation, drummer going back Penang for a short stay. I guessed it's good. I heard this phrase from forum, play too much nanti demotivated.."... i think quite true also in a way. Hehehe...

Till then i will be self written acoustic songs for my own i guess. hehe..

Talking to this old friend now..demotivating me only when im quite in a good mood. Hahaha

New Discovery

- I actually walked up to a stranger to ask for his number for my friend (she will killed me if i revealed her name here ). It was damn weird and funny ! and He gave ! HAHAHAHA....i passed the number to my friend and forced her to call him, right after we left. She did !HAHHAHAA...she made a new friend...ahahhahaha
- Meng ran through and killed a black cat. We were all kinda annoyed with him "sie lor...i killed a black cat ..sie lor....i killed a black cat" the whole night...hahaa..but it was indeed..errmm..spooky. Of all colours but a black cat !
- rhythmix is our 2nd best favourite jamming studio now.
- Does red color shirt or tee will most probably bleach at the first wash ? i better soak it first.
- Kevin brought along 2 chicks to join our jamming session. I talked to them the whole night after that but i dun remember asking their names...ishh..ahhaha. But i guessed i will see them soon..hehe
- i'm having too many Oldtown sessions lately, but i still love it.
- We actually walked in, sat down, looked at the price, looked at each other, make a signal, and left the place for a cheaper dinner. HAHAHAHHAA...it was a fucking day but a tiring happy night.
- i forgot she work there and the next thing i know she was in front of me. And the next thing i know, WS called, and reached behind me. However, i still managed to handle and convinced her i was really busy and that was my colleague..HAHAHA...she smiled and said she can get me the 30% discount voucher for the tee that i like ! keke..
- Only busy people will have time for you. I think i understand the statement now.
- my phone bill is slowly killing me from time to time.
- sometimes they think you are dumb, but actually they are dumb to think that.
- we managed to save more than 500 and i was happy with the more than 2 hours settings and shooting session. Lets hope for the best.

Ish...im so pathetic...eating indo mee AGAIN at wee hours... its the 3rd time oledi for this 2 weeks time...damn...feel so shitty and scary about it. Dun ask me why there's no bread or other stuffs to eat...sigh..

Rojak entry

I just woked up after a short 5 hours slept, not enough to recover the non-stop 11 hours working to meet a deadline before that...uuhhh..planned and wanted to jam tonight or tomorrow night, to release the "heat" inside, but got a msg from Meng saying to push it to after Friday as he have 2 assignments deadlines...potong stimm..hahaha..and maybe me myself might not be available on the weekends also..hhmm...

Kelvin, from the band Inverse, and his bandmates, joined us on our jamming session last Friday. Not anything unfamiliar to have friends watching us play but its still fun..hahaha..and gave us some good critics and comments.

Was at Zouk@Loft on Saturday night with the usual suspects. It was fun despite them complaining about the shitty venue and crowd...well..we finished whole bottle of Chivas..with Bev sponsoring 300 for her birthday treat..who is there to complaint ? not to mentioned all the actions here and there...haha..Happy Birthday Beverly !!

Watched Boo on Sunday noon. Crapp ler...should have watched Casino Royale instead of this B grade horror movie....tiuu..and btw, just realised Jusco opened 1901 (hotdogs) ...hahaha..

Hhmm..i've been thinking for the past 5 mins..and i can't remembered what i did on Saturday noon...what happened ar ? ...

And i got cravings for Kayu's nasi kandar now !! that..that ayam kurma...islanded with variety of curry sauces...wooo..deliciousss!!! Speaking of that, that day i have my usual Ayam Kurma with side dishes for only RM5 !! hahaha..the past 2 or 3 times that i took the same dishes and it was Rm6.80. I saved RM2 bucks wei ! that was alot difference ! HAHAHHAA...but i ended up ordered another extra teh ais than usual..so..i still pays the same...eermm.

Tonight, cold and after the rain, after my bath, i drove around...with the van ( ok..abit potong stim..hahah..dun have car.) wanted to spend some time alone. Ended up at a chicken rice stall. When the food is served, im still on the phone chatting.

Hey bulat, if you are reading this, i've been staring at the chicken for at least half an hour but not able to eat it ! hahahahah

3 years ago, he was the most spoilt, rebellious, hopeless bastard i ever know...

Bittersweet

It was a last minute idea that together with Meng and Sanjay, we drove down Laundry bar to watch some local acts. It was Moonshine anniversary show. Nice ! cool !

Despite all the bands, i would like to share here about Bittersweet. First i heard them on radio, then when i join EFT, we jam at the jamming studio they runs, called Hyciendia in PJ...then we watched them played last month at Laundry, and again...today. These 2 times watching them perform also i can't hear the vocals nicely, either its the sound system problem ( but the other bands are clear ), or the vocalist singing softly, or they purposely want it to sound like that..but i was amazed at the fans they have. Half of the crowd were singing and dancing along with their brand of music, something along the line of The Strokes and OAG..wow...

I think they are succesful in marketing their own brand of music, but i do think that when they performed on stage, the vocals, which is the main i would say, should be clear or at least audible lor.. its quite fun to watch them perform as they dressed up like ol' skool rock..with jackets and shades..and the 80s move..hehehehe...

And the other thing, i wondered if its just me or that, i find it quite degrading when they talk in Malay, those Malay in the slang only Malays understand, i mean, of course we do understand laaa.. Well, they are Malays to start with, but their songs are English, so why not converse in English with the audience rite ? and if you're been to Laundry, im sure you know there are many Chinese and caucasian people there. You can't expect people like them to understand Malay rite ? So, i suggest. speak English..at least its universal...hahahahah
